boo boos

Well I am happy to report that last Thursday I became an aunt. My sister delievered a beautiful baby girl and both mom and baby are doing well. It is because of this happy occassion I have this story to deliver.

Yesterday we took are two adorable girls to meet thier baby cousin and towards the end of the evening I was putting away things in the nursery while my sister was trying to feed the baby. I had changed the baby into some pjs that had no feet in them so you could see her most precious little feet. Those cute little feet have some band aids on them due to all the poking at the hospital. Well Abby was in there with my trying to help and mom and baby were doing the feeding thing and baby became very upset and was crying...now my daughter does not like when babies cry. It upsets her and she tries to figure out what is wrong. So baby is crying and abby is there and i am getting laundry sorted and my hubby starts to walk in the room when my daughter says to my sister I think I know what is wrong she wants her boo boos off....well the whole room bursts into laughter because my husband thinks she has said something completely different considering what my sister is trying to do at the moment. Needless to say Abby was very confused as to why everyone was laughing at her and I had to explain to her that nothing was wrong with what she said and tell her that the baby truly was all right and that the band aids weren't hurting her that she was just hungry and that auntie minca would take care of it as soon as we left the room. I am not sure that my husband is going to be able to keep his head out of the gutter as long as my sister is breastfeeding...i think we are in for a long year filled with many jokes!

Enjoy your week!

I think it is time to change snacks

On Sunday I asked my parents if they would take the girls for a couple of hours so 1. we could do a good cleaning on the house and 2. I could get my work done(I work from home part time for a law office). They of course agreed...my children have their grandparents wrapped around their fingers so getting them to babysit always requires arm twising...NOT!

This is the funny story I was given by my mom

Abby and Ania both had animal cracker snacks and my mom was eating baked pretzels or something of the sort.

Abby: Busia what are you eating

Busia: pretzels want one

Abby: yes.....eats the pretzel.....likes them lots.....takes the bag from my mom and gives her the animal crackers....I think it is time to change snacks

she cracks me up sometimes....she is a character!

Enjoy the week! Say some extra prayers this week...baby should arrive by the end of the week!

The Magic Word

Lately we have been working with Abby on her manners. She has not been the most polite thing so our goal is to turn her into Miss Manners. Not sure how well it is working one day last week she had a very funny conversation with Auntie Minca

AM: Do you want some milk?

Abby: Yes I would. Go get it!

AM: How do you ask?

Abby: I'll just go get it myself

A few nights later she had this converstation with my mom

Abby: I want a snack

Busia: How do you ask?

Abby: May I have a snack! (perfect excpet for one thing)

Busia: What is the magic word?

Abby: (waving her imaginary magic wand) Abra-ca-dabra!

Laughter erupts and she wins and gets the snack!

Manners have been a lot better lately and we can no longer ask what is the magic word...because it is no longer please!

Side note: update on my sis..went to the dr. yesterday and they not inducing her yet but if baby is not here by next week...she is going to be induced a week from today! We hope baby decides to come sooner! Come out Baby Snoopy we want to meet you!

Enjoy the warmer day!

Baby Clothes

Today I started sorting through all of the girls old baby clothes. Since they are getting bigger and I have convinced hubby ( I think) that two kids is plenty I want to start selling some of the clothes we have. I am planning on doing a mom to mom sale in the next month so I figured better get organized. I am going through and taking things out that I want to keep and then boxing up everything else to take to the sale.

I have discovered a few things.

1. My girls have way too much stuff!
2. More than half this stuff I did not buy...gifts or grandparents.
3. For each size I have winter and summer wardrobe (that is what happens when you don't plan your babies in the same general time frame)
4. I hope I can make some bucks

It is really unbelievable how much clothing a small baby can have. I remember changing them a lot but seriously asking myself did we really need all these clothes. I am only through clothing raning in size from newborn to 9 months and have 2 big storage containers and 2 xerox boxes and all are overflowing. Well hopefully I can sell some and someone else's girls can look as cute as mine do!

side note: everyone say an extra prayer today that my sister's dr. appointment goes well and maybe her baby will come today....if she has a girl she will benefit first from all my hard work today!

Have a great day and enjoy the sunshine(for those of you close that is)

Hello all! I have been playing with the idea of blogging. I have been debating whether or not I wanted to do it or even had the time to do it. I also thought what in the world would I talk about. Well looks like I decided to go ahead with the idea and what would be more fun to share then the daily things that take place in this house. At first you may think BORING but I have to say with a 3 year old and 1 year old in the house life can be pretty interesting. I thought for my first posting I would share an Abby story with you!

I teach faith formation once a week and dad comes home early from work to be with the girls when I leave. On this particular day the girls decided they wanted to play up stairs and dad sent them up and I was off on my way. Later my husband relayed this story to me.

Abby: (screaming for upstairs to her daddy downstairs) daddy there is something in my room

Daddy: what is in your room?

Abby: Something....come see

Daddy climbs up the stairs and discovers our golden doodle has left us a gift in the middle of the girls play room.

Ok this is not the best part of the story

Later that week we went to my parents house and again told this story and my mom asked Abby what was in her room and my cute daughter responded with her nose upturned in the silliest grossed out voice a three year old can have and said "DOG POO!" The whole room laughed if only I would have had the camera so I could have captured the look on her face!

She is quite the character that one! One more Abby story....I had taken her to McDonalds for lunch and later dad was inquiring about her lunch so I asked her "Abby what was in your Happy Meal" she looked at me like I had five heads and said "chicken" She cracks me up daily. Well I am off to run this house...dinner needs to be made and the house has to be cleaned.
