Spring is in the air!

Happy Belated Mother's Day to all the Mothers out there! Yesterday was an absolutely glorious day here and we enjoyed it to its fullest actually the whole weekend was beautiful! We think spring has finally arrive in our great state!

On Saturday, hubby and I picked up our adorable girls from the grandparents! They were kind enough to keep them overnight so hubby and I could go and meet our new niece. Little A is absolutely adorable and beautiful! I was so excited to meet her and can't wait to see her again! We were lucky enough to enjoy dinner out with my parents as well that night! Back to my girls! We picked them up and enjoyed breakfast out with my in laws! Then we dropped Miss Ania off to my parents who took her for some one on one time with them! Daddy took Miss Abby off for some shopping! So that just left me, alone! ALONE! Seriously, I get to be alone! I treasured my quiet and got a few things done around the house then I went off to do some garage saleing!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE garage sales! I love finding great things at great prices and let me tell you I did! The deal of the day was the cute Kate Spade purse I found! The purse was not marked and when I asked the gentleman who was obviously covering for someone else how much it was he shrugged his shoulder and said 2 bucks I guess! WHAT! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I very quickly handed him $2 and walked away! This purse is in great shape! I am not sure he knew what he was doing nor if he was going to live to see the next day! OH well! I am happy with my purchase however!

After garage sales I took my daughter home from my parents and she helped me make chocolate pie for dessert on Sunday! We later enjoyed an evening out with the whole clan on my hubby's side! Always a fun time!

Sunday was a beautiful day! We got up headed out for church and after chuch hubby and the girls treated me to breakfast out! YUMMY! I love breakfast out! I also received a beautiful ring and bracelet from them! I am truly spoiled! We then went home and sat outside and let the girls play, and play they did for hours! We also had the moms over for dinner! We grilled up some steak and shrimp! We enjoyed raspberry pie and chocolate pie for dessert!

This was a great weekend and I am looking forward to some more lovely weather! Looks like today we will be able to go for a walk as the weather has decided to cooperate for yet another day! Happy Spring!

Thought I would try again

Well it has been some time since my last post and thought I would give this a try again!

I am not sure why I stopped, maybe I got too busy or maybe I thought my life was not that interesting!

So quick update: Miss Abby is 4.5 now and weeks away from preschool graduation! You can be assured this CEO will be in the front row with a box of Kleenex as my baby graduates!

Miss Ania Rose is now 3 and I am glad to report that with tons of help from my mom and sister she is potty trained! YIPEE!!!!!!!! So she is registered for preschool next year and mommy is her teacher...more about that later!

David is still as busy as ever working away!

This year has been very crazy for mommy! Not only have I been holding down the job of CEO but I have been working part time for 3 differnt places. I have been doing some office work for a law office couple hours a month and then teaching catechism one night a week! But the biggest change came in September when I was offered a part time job teaching again. I was so excited but there were some road blocks to work through! The job is at the school Miss Abby attends and hubby also works! How awesome would that be! So now come the road blocks...Miss Abby is only in school part time and Miss Ania Rose goes wherever I go. How does one teach that way? Well it worked out and I am ow the kindergarten specials teacher. In a nutshell that means I teach 23 kindergartners art, music, computers and gym. It sounds like a lot and it is but I am having so much fun!

I was very excited about this oppurtunity and couldn't have been happier until....

I was offered a full time job for next year teaching PRESCHOOL! I was shocked! I totally almost fell off my chair and my hubby as well! I had always dreamed of preschool and dreams do come true! Next fall I will begin teaching under our new program which offers the option of full day preschool! So my hands will not only be full with my CEO duties but also full of 3 year old fun!

I am super excited about next year and it is going to be a busy schedule! I also will be adding school for me to the schedule! Yep you heard right! I am headed back to work on my masters! I must be crazy but looking forward to it! Hubby is going to be a great deal of help and the girls are going to benefit from my working in the long run! I am already looking forward to finally being able to afford a trip to Disney!

So CEO, Teacher and student! Wow sounds like a lot!

Next year if you need to find any of us just check the school. Daddy and Mommy will be there full time and both girls too. Miss Abby is headed to all day kindergarten and Miss Ania Rose is lucky enough to be in my full day preschool class!

I cannot belive how quickly life can change! Nor can I believe how quickly my girls have grown! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was holidng them for the first time! I look back on the blog and see it was over a year ago I held my niece for the first time and none of this seems possible. If Miss C (my niece) was over a year ago that means 3 for Miss Ania and almost 5 for Miss Abby. No way! Time flies and I feel as they get older time goes a lot faster!

Well I think that is enough rambling for one post and the washer is beeping at me! Way too much laundry to do! We are coming off a romanctic getaway! I will blog about that tomorrow! Hubby did a great job with the planning of a weekend away! Till Tomorrow!

long time no see

Well it has been way too long since my last post....my life as a ceo has been in full gear! I had quite the project for about two weeks. Both girls have been sick....not fun! About two or three weeks ago abby came down with a virus that caused her to run a temp up to 102.7 which was scary but the doctor assured us not to worry the virus was going around and was causing temps to run even higher than that....she had a quick recovery which was good because the next day she was due to meet elmo and see elmo live....well the night she went into recovery ania was up all night screaming and coughing....off to the dr the next morning....same day as our big elmo day! Turns out she has an ear infection and just some minor respitory problems no need to worry just need antibiotics and the doctor gave us the all clear to go to the show.....went to the show did the meet and greet and made it through intermission....and then ania got sick and let me tell you a kid getting sick in the middle of the fox theatre is not fun...so i picked her up and ran to the bathroom where we changed her thankfully i had brought pjs....lucky for us they thought they had seen the whole show and are still talking about.....the next day was satruday and they both seemed to be fine running around playing and being their normal selves....i decided they still needed a low key day and that is what we did....ania woke up sunday morning sick again! spent the whole day on the couch looking miserable and not eating or drinking so the next day off to the dr again now she has gastroentritis (sp?) so in a matter of three days she has come down with three different viruses....i have decided to never go the dr again in the off chance we can contract something else there! She bounced back by wednesday and i thought i was in the all clear....i had washed bedding at least 6-8 times and was exhausted from being up all night by now.....and then thursday night.....abby woke up with it! We washed her bedding twice that night! We have been germ free for a whole week now and last thursday my parents took us to frankenmuth for a mini vacation and we were swimming and having tons of fun and now this week i think abby has gotten a cold with a horrible cough! I know this is all my fault cause only a few weeks ago i was bragging about how healthy my kids have been...lesson learned never brag how healthy your kids are....the germs will definatley come to get you!

Well I am off to make lunch for the two germ carrying children and hope that no more germs enter this house!

Have a great day!

boo boos

Well I am happy to report that last Thursday I became an aunt. My sister delievered a beautiful baby girl and both mom and baby are doing well. It is because of this happy occassion I have this story to deliver.

Yesterday we took are two adorable girls to meet thier baby cousin and towards the end of the evening I was putting away things in the nursery while my sister was trying to feed the baby. I had changed the baby into some pjs that had no feet in them so you could see her most precious little feet. Those cute little feet have some band aids on them due to all the poking at the hospital. Well Abby was in there with my trying to help and mom and baby were doing the feeding thing and baby became very upset and was crying...now my daughter does not like when babies cry. It upsets her and she tries to figure out what is wrong. So baby is crying and abby is there and i am getting laundry sorted and my hubby starts to walk in the room when my daughter says to my sister I think I know what is wrong she wants her boo boos off....well the whole room bursts into laughter because my husband thinks she has said something completely different considering what my sister is trying to do at the moment. Needless to say Abby was very confused as to why everyone was laughing at her and I had to explain to her that nothing was wrong with what she said and tell her that the baby truly was all right and that the band aids weren't hurting her that she was just hungry and that auntie minca would take care of it as soon as we left the room. I am not sure that my husband is going to be able to keep his head out of the gutter as long as my sister is breastfeeding...i think we are in for a long year filled with many jokes!

Enjoy your week!

I think it is time to change snacks

On Sunday I asked my parents if they would take the girls for a couple of hours so 1. we could do a good cleaning on the house and 2. I could get my work done(I work from home part time for a law office). They of course agreed...my children have their grandparents wrapped around their fingers so getting them to babysit always requires arm twising...NOT!

This is the funny story I was given by my mom

Abby and Ania both had animal cracker snacks and my mom was eating baked pretzels or something of the sort.

Abby: Busia what are you eating

Busia: pretzels want one

Abby: yes.....eats the pretzel.....likes them lots.....takes the bag from my mom and gives her the animal crackers....I think it is time to change snacks

she cracks me up sometimes....she is a character!

Enjoy the week! Say some extra prayers this week...baby should arrive by the end of the week!

The Magic Word

Lately we have been working with Abby on her manners. She has not been the most polite thing so our goal is to turn her into Miss Manners. Not sure how well it is working one day last week she had a very funny conversation with Auntie Minca

AM: Do you want some milk?

Abby: Yes I would. Go get it!

AM: How do you ask?

Abby: I'll just go get it myself

A few nights later she had this converstation with my mom

Abby: I want a snack

Busia: How do you ask?

Abby: May I have a snack! (perfect excpet for one thing)

Busia: What is the magic word?

Abby: (waving her imaginary magic wand) Abra-ca-dabra!

Laughter erupts and she wins and gets the snack!

Manners have been a lot better lately and we can no longer ask what is the magic word...because it is no longer please!

Side note: update on my sis..went to the dr. yesterday and they not inducing her yet but if baby is not here by next week...she is going to be induced a week from today! We hope baby decides to come sooner! Come out Baby Snoopy we want to meet you!

Enjoy the warmer day!

Baby Clothes

Today I started sorting through all of the girls old baby clothes. Since they are getting bigger and I have convinced hubby ( I think) that two kids is plenty I want to start selling some of the clothes we have. I am planning on doing a mom to mom sale in the next month so I figured better get organized. I am going through and taking things out that I want to keep and then boxing up everything else to take to the sale.

I have discovered a few things.

1. My girls have way too much stuff!
2. More than half this stuff I did not buy...gifts or grandparents.
3. For each size I have winter and summer wardrobe (that is what happens when you don't plan your babies in the same general time frame)
4. I hope I can make some bucks

It is really unbelievable how much clothing a small baby can have. I remember changing them a lot but seriously asking myself did we really need all these clothes. I am only through clothing raning in size from newborn to 9 months and have 2 big storage containers and 2 xerox boxes and all are overflowing. Well hopefully I can sell some and someone else's girls can look as cute as mine do!

side note: everyone say an extra prayer today that my sister's dr. appointment goes well and maybe her baby will come today....if she has a girl she will benefit first from all my hard work today!

Have a great day and enjoy the sunshine(for those of you close that is)
